Fantasy artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith teamed up with Ashton-Drake Galleries to release her first fairy doll collection, "Mystical Flora Fairies". "Regine the Rose Flower" leads the launch, with several additional fairies to follow.

"You've been asking me for over a decade for dolls, so now here you go! These are beautiful collectible & POSEABLE fairy dolls! I m so very thrilled to show these to you all!" Ms. Becket-Griffith said in her newsletter.

Disney fairy mania grows traffic

Disney now ranks among the top three online gaming destinations, according to a recent analysis by Comscore. Over thirteen million visitors dropped by their sites in December 2008, a 13% increase from last year.

A Disney representative said that the traffic increase was "largely driven by our virtual worlds, and specifically by the popularity of the new Disney Fairies Pixie hollow virtual world." A recent barrage of Disney Fairy products, from the new movie to video games to figurines, has probably helped catapult their popularity.

Fantasy artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith, known for her big-eyed style of painting, recently teamed up with Disney and The Hamilton Collection to create a line of figurines featuring Disney characters, including Tinker Bell.

Jasmine's renditions of Tinker Bell emphasize the fairy's feisty disposition, as titles such as "Kiss My Wings" and "All Eyes on Me" suggest. Tinker Bell raises her eyebrows, crosses her arms, and smirks in the different poses displayed on Jasmine's website.

In addition to the extensive line of products featuring Amy's work, the website announced plans to begin selling journals, clothing, coffee mugs, and tote bags this spring. Fans will be excited to hear that in light of ongoing economic woes, the site extended its sale on art prints.

Tooth fairy hurt by credit crunch

A survey commissioned by Denplan suggests children in the UK will receive up to ten percent less reward money for their teeth, as the credit crunch forces even the tooth fairy to tighten her purse strings.

"The Tooth Fairy is an age-old tradition that aims to reward children for taking good care of their milk teeth," Denplan managing director Steve Gates said, adding that he hopes that the tooth fairy will offer alternative incentives for children to care for their teeth.
